Did you know that mudskippers are cousins to the locally farmed soon hock; dragonflies serve as excellent indicators of water quality, providing insight into the health of aquatic ecosystems, while mangroves play a crucial role in mitigating coastal erosion?
On World Migratory Birds Day, our team ventured to the Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve, an experience that never gets old as we learned about the hundreds of different bird species undertaking the arduous journey from as far north as Alaska to Singapore, to escape the harsh winter.
The experience not only deepens our appreciation for the rich biodiversity in the heart of our concrete jungle, but also reinforces the importance of conservation efforts to protect their habitats.
